Yes, they are printed to show through on both sides but like all fabric printing, one side reads right and the the other side mirror. You may not realize it but when you look at state flags and other flags with printing you may be looking at the front or the back of the printing. The eyes sees the text and reads it even though it is reverse. For and example here is how the eye can see writing that is even mixed up.
